WHAT IS OUR CLUB ABOUT?

The motto of our club is “Fun, Friendship and Learning” in that order.

We all take up photography because we enjoy this medium and like to be around people who also enjoy it.  When you do something that you enjoy you are having fun.  When you mix with others who enjoy the same hobby as you, you make friends, if you are enjoying what you do you like to learn more.

 Our programme officer works very hard to organise very experienced photographers and guest speakers to help us learn more and see different ways of using our cameras.  Over the years we have had some very interesting guests and had some very exciting workshops which will continue throughout the life of the club.  We are very much a learning club so everything designed in the club has a learning aspect to it.

From guest speakers at meeting nights, club competitions and weekend workshops. All are designed to improve your photography. 

We are often lucky enough to be invited to places that the general public are not. 

 Our major event of the year is our Photographic Exhibition/Competition which runs for 8 days during the Cherry Festival.  We are very proud of this exhibition and members work very hard to make this the success it is.
